Minutes for our June meeting:
The meeting opened with an enthusiastic discussion of this year’s Mars Society University Rover Competition http://urc.marssociety.org/. 10 teams attended this year. It was a great competition. The group discussed lessons learned and began planning for next year’s competition.
The group also discussed upcoming Moon Day at the Frontiers of Flight museum on July 20th http://www.flightmuseum.com/event/moon-day-2/. Tom, Mark, and Dan presented modifications made to the group’s Mars rover exhibit which will be on display at Moon Day.
Curtis brought a book on Mars which will also be displayed at Moon day.
Last, the group discussed the upcoming Mars Society convention which will be held in Boulder, Colorado August 15-18http://www.marssociety.org/conventions/2013. A great series of speakers are shaping up for the convention. The group also discussed t-shirt plans for the convention.
